If your cat or dog has presented you with a surprise litter, Kitten Division can help through our Last Litter Program. The programs goal is to make sure EVERY kitten or puppy in the litter is spayed or neutered before they go to new homes, and to spay the mother cat / dog to prevent any future litters. When the kittens or puppies are old enough, Kitten Division finds them loving forever homes.
Be sure to contact us as soon as possible, don't wait until they are weaned and ready to go before getting signed up. We have a long waitlist, especially in the spring and summer, and the sooner you contact us to get into the program, the better the chances that we can help.
Note: This program is for kittens and puppies under 12 weeks old. If yours are older, contact us to see what other ways in which we may be able to help.
How it works:
Through this program, the kittens / puppies will receive an initial examination, deworming, monthly flea and tick prevention, microchipping, and appropriate vaccines. Depending on their age when you sign up, this may require several appointments. Once they are at least 8 weeks old, weigh at least two pounds, and are healthy, we will schedule them for spay/neuter surgeries.
After they have been spayed or neutered, kittens will come into our shelter for adoption.
Since we do not have a dog shelter, puppies will remain in your care while they wait to be adopted. We will host adoption events at our shelter or another nearby location where members of the public can meet and adopt them, as well as posts on our social media and website.
We will also spay the mother cat/dog to prevent future litters. All services provided through the Last Litter Program are offered at no cost to you provided you follow our protocols and agreements in our contract.
